Apartment Fire in The Briar Forest Area WHAT: Apartment Fire WHEN: April 16, 2021 at 4:17 p.m. WHERE: 11770 Westheimer, 77077 INJURIES: No reported injuries. PROPERTY SAVED: Not available. DAMAGE: $3 thousand in estimated damage. CAUSE: Under Investigation. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find light smoke coming from an apartment. The door was open and crews made entry to conduct a primary search and control the fire. Smoke conditions worsened and crews discovered the unit had no power. They found and extinguished a fire by a washer/dryer. Firefighters checked for extension and removed the smoke from the unit. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire. Crews from Stations 69, 76 and 75 responded to this incident.
