Apartment Fire in The Gulfton Area WHAT: Apartment Fire WHEN: April 13, 2021 at 11:50 p.m. WHERE: 7001 Hillcroft, 77081 INJURIES: One civilian injured, treated on scene. PROPERTY SAVED: Not available. DAMAGE: Not available. CAUSE: Under Investigation. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find a working apartment fire. Crews made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. There was zero visibly smoke conditions in all of the units with heated smoke in the unit directly over the apartment of origin. Firefighters extinguished the fire which had extended to a vehicle parked by the unit’s window. Fans were used to ventilate the smoke. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 2, 15, 28, 68, 37, 51 and 57 responded to this incident.
