Firefighters Canvass Area of Tragic Fire WHAT: Houston Firefighters will walk the neighborhood of a recent tragic fires with safety literature and talk with residents about the importance of working smoke detectors, home escape plans and fire prevention. WHEN: Today, April 23, 2021, starting at 10 a.m. WHERE: 5400 block of Bunte / 5200 block of Cavalcade, 77028 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: HFD responded to a report of a van/camper fire behind a residence about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21st. Upon extinguishing the fire, a deceased individual was found in the camper. The cause is under investigation.
