House Fire in The Briar Forest Area WHAT: House Fire WHEN: April 14, 2021 at 6:54 p.m. WHERE: 11800 block of Drexelbrook, 77077 INJURIES: No reported injuries. PROPERTY SAVED: More than $300 thousand in estimated property saved. DAMAGE: $40 thousand in estimated damage. CAUSE: Failure of Equipment or Heat Source. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from the back of a 1-story home. They made an attack on the fire found in the attic. A primary search was completed and the fire was extinguished. Firefighters conducted salvage and overhaul before turning the home back over to the owner. Crews from Stations 2, 78, 83, 57, 69 and 75 responded to this incident.
