Investigation into Shooting at 3801 Liberty Road
Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 3801 Liberty Road that occurred about 10:20 p.m. on Sunday (April 11).
The victim, Oliver Cooksey, 22, was transported to an area hospital.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers G. Black and A. Hernandez reported:
Mr. Cooksey and the suspect were playing dice in a business at the above address when they began arguing. The argument moved outside and led to a physical altercation. During the physical altercation, the suspect pulled a gun and shot Cooksey multiple times. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. Cooksey suffered wounds to his upper torso and was transported to the hospital, where he underwent surgery.
