Vehicle / Automotive Repair Shop Fire in The Independence Heights Area WHAT: Vehicle / Automotive Repair Shop Fire WHEN: April 13, 2021 at 3:12 a.m. WHERE: 4398 Europa, 77022 INJURIES: No reported injuries. PROPERTY SAVED: $93 thousand in estimated property saved. DAMAGE: $2 thousand in estimated damage. CAUSE: Under Investigation. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a car fully involved on fire next to an automotive repair shop. The exterior of the building was also catching fire. Crews extinguished the fire and forced entry through a locked gate and front door to conduct a primary search of people reported trapped. No one was found. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 30, 31, 34, 15 and 58 responded to this incident.
