UPDATE: Surveillance Video in Fatal Shooting at 900 East 35th Street

Houston police have released surveillance video in the fatal shooting of a man found in the 900 block of East 35th Street about 6:30 p.m. on April 18.

The victim is identified as Roger John Lewis, 54.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. Wohlgemuth and D. Williamson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Lewis’ vehicle stopped in the roadway. He was deceased in the driver’s seat.
The shooter is believed to have fled in a gray sedan.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
At 10 a.m. TODAY (Wednesday, April 28), investigators in the HPD Homicide Division and family members of Mr. Lewis will be available to answer questions regarding this investigation in the first floor Media Briefing Room of the HPD Edward A. Thomas Building at 1200 Travis.
NOTE: Social distancing protocols will be in effect and masks are required. Media partners are required to have temperature checks before entering 1200 Travis, so please plan to arrive early.
NOTE: IN ADDITION TO THE TEMPERATURE CHECKS, REPORTERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS MUST ENTER THE BUILDING THROUGH THE PUBLIC ENTRANCE AT 1200 TRAVIS, GO THROUGH THE METAL DETECTORS AND PROVIDE VALID IDENTIFICATION BEFORE BEING ESCORTED TO THE 22ND FLOOR.
